Sorry for my absense, guys, and I'm sorry to say that it'll continue for a few more days. Life got just a little crazy here and it's put me off my writing more than I thought it would. So I'm laying down the pen, so to speak, for a few days to get my head straight again.
But...I did want to upload this. For The Chimeras, the Avatar fanfiction I've been working on. The woman pictured here is Ki Lin, one of the few half-breeds in the story who is Water Tribe and Fire Nation. Most of the characters are a combination of Earth and Fire, (mostly due to the fact that the Earth Kingdom is far more populated than the Water Tribes).
Ki Lin is a character that started out as a minor player, but gradually grew into something more. She is a waterbender, and she's the only main character who isn't a soldier. She's a healer. And that's a lot of what she does throughout the story. I can honestly say she's one of my favorite OC's in the entire tale.
Anyhow, the title is what it is because for my story, everything comes to a head on the Day of Black Sun, rather than when the Avatar defeats the Fire Lord.

Across the globe, 27 million men, women, and children live in some form of slavery. That is more people at this moment than in all the centuries of the Atlantic Slave Trade. Something must be done. This contest serves two purposes: Raising awareness about human trafficking and raising funds for the Not For Sale organization.
Open to all mediums. Deadline is March 10, 2010 @ 11:59pm PST.
